British Telecom’s Global Innovation Research Center (GIRC) and the Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC) are organising the ‘Science of Innovation™’ Programme for Malaysian home-based businesses.

Entrepreneur with sole proprietorship or Sdn Bhd are eligible to participate in the program which includes the following:
i) A two-day workshop on ‘thinking out of the box’. Experts will deal with diverse issues like Marketing, IT, Branding and Business Transformation.
ii) After the workshop, GIRC will conduct global research and prepare a business plan for each participant.
iii) One-to-one mentoring to polish the business plan and guidance on how to move further.
iv) GIRC will assist the home business to apply for SMIDEC funds to grow. If the home business does not qualify for SMIDEC funding, GIRC will attempt to obtain the costs from other suitable and appropriate funding schemes and investors in its network.
